Alex Cardenas
AttorneyAlex is a grandson of an immigrant. His first language is Spanish. He was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and left the island at age 18 to go to college at Villanova University. He is a big fan of their college basketball team. After graduating from Villanova, he attended law school at Creighton University School of Law. While in law school, Alex worked for an immigration law firm in Omaha, Kasaby Schmoke.
He spent two years working at a non-profit organization formerly known as Justice for Our Neighbors in Des Moiines where he eventually became a Managing attorney. During his time there he helped over 200 clients with their immigration cases. Alex then went on to work at an Ames, Iowa immigration law firm, Barten Law. During his two years at Barten Law, he assisted immigrants with their immigration, criminal, and family law matters.
Alex joined Mueller Schmidt Mulholland & Cooling in 2021. His areas of focus are family-based immigration, humanitarian immigration, and removal defense cases.
